Late Night China Moses
A cool and sophisticated sound to weeknights including a spin of her track of the week.
China Moses is not only a world class jazz musician and vocalist, but she’s already a seasoned broadcaster, having hosted programmes on French radio about her passion for jazz music.
She is the daughter of Grammy® award winning musicians Dee Dee Bridgewater and director Gilbert Moses. Her first ever appearance is on the cover of her mother’s 1977 album “Just Family” in a photo taken by her dad – she’s the one in the tummy!
She released her first single "Time" in 1996 at the age of 18, along with her first video directed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino. This was followed by 6 albums: ‘China’ (1997), ‘On tourne en rond ("We Turn Around")’ (2000), and ‘Good Lovin’ (2004), This One’s For Dinah ( 2009), Crazy Blues (2012), Nightintales (2017)
The latest being “Nightintales” on MPS to much acclaim. She is also known for her work on International Jazz Day as a presenter of the first UNESCO event in Paris, 2012 and has also presented the MOBO awards and the Jazz FM Nominations launch event in 2018.
