Jazz Shapers in association with Mishcon de Reya broadcasts every Saturday at 9am.
The show shares music from the risk takers, leaders and influencers of jazz, soul, funk and blues, alongside interviews with their equivalent in the business world: entrepreneurs who have defined and shaped business categories and ways of operating.
Jazz Shapers is presented by Mishcon de Reya’s Director of Business Development and presenter Elliot Moss. During each show Elliot will be interviewing shapers of the business world, people who, like the musicians in the show, have defied convention and gone on to achieve great success. Elliot's love of music and presenting stretches back almost 30 years. He first began DJing in the early '80s with The Music Factory (a mobile disco business in north London) and quickly fell in love with making audiences happy. From a disco foundation (Chic, Kool and the Gang, the Jackson 5) he moved onto funk with Maceo and the Macks, Lonnie Liston Smith and James Brown. He discovered Jimmy Smith shortly after via his dad's vinyl collection. He still loves a wide range of disco, funk and jazz. Alongside his belief that business should be interesting and accessible, it means that presenting Jazz Shapers is pretty much his ideal job.
