Christmas on Jazz FM with Exodus Travels

Central to this year’s offerings is a celebration of Frank Sinatra called “Perfectly Frank” on Christmas Day at 6pm. Celebrating 100 years of ‘Ol Blue Eyes’, the programme will be hosted by actor, comedian and Frank-ophile Rufus Hound. He’ll share contributions from fellow admirers, along with presenting the Top 10 countdown from our recent poll to find the nation’s favourite Sinatra song.

Other highlights this year include a special charity concert on Christmas Eve, featuring jazz and carols, plus special festive readings from the likes of Brian Blessed and live performances from Rebecca Ferguson and YolanDa Brown.

On Christmas Day Afternoon, Jazz FM will visit Hollywood with James and Daisy Tormé offering up an American-style family Christmas with great music and some star guests dropping in, plus a celebration of their father Mel Tormé who famously wrote ‘The Christmas Song’ 70 years ago.

Singer Joe Stilgoe will guest present Dinner Jazz on Christmas Day Night, and novelist Ian Rankin will host on Boxing day.

On December 31st, say goodbye to 2015 with another 8-hour non-stop ‘Funky Sensation’ show, including a set from Soul artist of the year Jarrod Lawson who plays DJ alongside Jeff Young, John Osborne and Mike Vitti. On New Year’s morning - wake up in style with Claire Anderson’s ‘Late Lounge Breakfast’, then Grammy award winning bassist Marcus Miller takes over from 10am.
