Next summer’s animated film release 'Soul' will star Jamie Foxx as a teacher who plays jazz in New York night clubs
Disney Pixar have unveiled the first trailer for their new animated movie ‘Soul’, which tells the story of Joe Gardner, a middle-school band teacher whose true passion is playing jazz, and who sets out on a journey to follow his dreams. The movie is set in the modern day jazz clubs of New York City starring Jamie Foxx as the lead along with Tina Fey and Questlove from the band The Roots. The film score is being put together by British producer Atticus Ross with jazz contributions from the Grammy nominated New Orleans pianist Jon Batiste. Disney’s ‘Soul’ is due for release in June next year, with the first trailer available to view above.
