The Telegraph lists Nine best jazz albums of 2014

The Daily Telegraph has listed it's pick of the nine best jazz albums of the year so far.

The Daily Telegraph has listed it's pick of the nine best jazz albums of the year so far. Included are powerful new CDs fom Mauritian pianist Jerry Léonide, New Orleans legends The Preservation Hall Jazz band, the second album for acclaimed young trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire on Blue Note and a superb box set compilation of Herbie Hancock's time with the Warner Brothers label and his emerging electronic sound known as the 'Mwandishi period'. 

All of the listed albums have been regular features on Jazz FM's late night weekend programming with Chris Philips' Blueprint and Mike Chadwick's Cutting Edge. You can see the Preservation Hall Jazz Band session for Jazz FM below.
