On Wednesday 18th November, I had a long chat with New Orleans based trumpeter Christian Scott – and here’s the result. We cover the city’s jazz and the problems facing it, the music he grew up with and his influences. He talks about his own albums and his forthcoming appearance at the London Jazz Festival where he’s hoping to re-create the sounds of Miles Davis, with a little bit of help from Marcus Miller.
