29 miles from Kingstown on St. Vincent, Canouan is the 3rd island in the tail of islands south of St. Vincent.

The island is five square miles and is made up of two private resorts, and for the golfers, an 18 hole golf course in paradise.

The main village of the island is called Retreat and is home to most of the 1200 local people living on Cancouan.

The spectacular peak of Mount Royal is the highest on the island at 240 metres, and looks like a peak of green from the white cedar trees.
