Marcus is one of the most respected musicians of the last 30 years. His brilliant bass playing has graced some of the finest albums of all time, from Donald Fagen's 'The Nightfly' and Luther Vandross's 'Never Too Much' to Grover Washington Jr's 'Winelight' and David Sanborn's 'Voyeur', but he is probably best known for his long association with trumpet legend Miles Davis. He toured and recorded with Miles between 1981 and 1983 before working extensively with him on the treasured albums 'Tutu', 'Siesta' and 'Amandla'. He has also collaborated with the likes of Wayne Shorter, Stanley Clarke, Victor Wooten, Luther Vandross, Roberta Flack, Lonnie Liston Smith, Dizzy Gillespie and McCoy Tyner.
Marcus has released 12 hugely-acclaimed solo albums to date including the superb recent 'Tutu Revisited Live'. His 2001 album 'M2' won a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Album.
Marcus will be performing music from his forthcoming album 'Renaissance' at these shows which are selling out fast.
