A classically trained violinist, keyboard player and vocalist, Angela’s musical career began at State University of New York, where four music students became Cooly’s Hot Box. Two albums by the band were followed by her debut solo album “They Don’t Know” in 2002.
In addition to her early career as keyboard player and singer with Cooly’s Hot Box, Angela has also demonstrated her love of danceable material via her guest vocal outings with the UK’s Reel People. “In the past year or so I’ve had a strong desire to write and produce more up-tempo songs. I remembered how free I used to feel when dancing on stage. This album and this gig gives me a chance to let loose on stage again!”

We’re thrilled to have the chance to present Angela live on stage in London for what promises to be a magical gig.
After an emotional, soul-stirring performance at the Blackpool Luxury Soul Weekender in 2003, journalist and DJ Terry Jones wrote: “Angela’s style and artistry at the keyboards is up there with the best of legends. On ‘Cryin’ Over U’, performed in the style of Queen Aretha herself, with a stop in the middle, you could have heard a pin drop, such was the respect shown for this lady. So moving was her performance, tears flowed in the room – never have I witnessed anything like this from one of the new breed of soul stars”.
The event will be hosted by Jazz FM presenter Chris Philips; tickets are available now from £19.50 for standing tickets, with some special offers on sale including a premium ticket seated in the first floor restaurant with a glass of champagne on arrival and a signed copy of the new album, priced from £47.50.
Customers purchasing tickets to the gig can also pre-order “It’s Personal” on CD for £11.95 (“It’s Personal” will be shipped on release) or buy a bundle of 4 of Angela’s albums including the new release for the special combined price of £32.75 (“It’s Personal” will be shipped on release, catalogue albums will be to collect at Jazz Cafe on night of show)
These prices are only applicable when purchasing tickets, so don’t miss out!
