FAQs

We get asked lots of questions every day and here's where we'll try to answer the most common ones.  If we haven’t answered your question, please contact us in the usual way.

Why is Jazz FM not on FM?

There are very few opportunities to broadcast on FM radio available. Instead, you can hear us at jazzfm.com, on DAB Digital Radio across the UK and on digital television.

What is DAB?

DAB is an abbreviation for ‘Digital Audio Broadcasting’. It is a form of audio transmission that is in a digital, rather than analogue (such as FM/AM) format. A DAB radio can be purchased in all good electronic retailers for as little as £15 and is just one of the platforms that Jazz FM broadcast on. To find Jazz FM on DAB, simply select ‘autotune’ on your radio and we should appear automatically. You can find out more about DAB Digital Radio at www.getdigitalradio.com.
